RELAXED gOLF

The Golfnosis system – how to psych up your mind to bring your scores down, was developed after extensive research into the mental side of the game of golf.

The game of golf is a relatively simple game - a game that WE make complex.

Unlike other sports the game of golf is a game of extremely short bursts of physical activity followed by long periods of time, time in which our minds can play tricks on us, time in which our minds can and do affect our game, time in which we think negative, tension provoking thoughts or positive thoughts that relax our bodies and minds.

It is estimated that a round of 18 holes can last up to four hours or more, the actual time playing, hitting the ball  is just 3 minutes.   FOUR hours of golf yet just THREE minutes of hitting the ball!! Because of these extended periods in between shots we MUST control our thinking and relax our minds and bodies if we intend to play up to our potential.

The Golfnosis System will teach you how to relax instantly, automatically, without thinking, efforting or trying.

Ok you might be asking me “why do we need to relax when playing golf?”

My answer to you would be: because the body affects the mind and it also works the other way - the mind affects the body.

When the body is tense, muscles are in a slightly contracted state, when muscles are tight they respond in a jerky, uncoordinated way.  When the tiny muscles in your hands are tight you are asking for a 3-or more putt.

Think back to the best golf that you have played  -  do you remember being tense, nervous, anxious – I didn’t think so.  You were probably VERY relaxed, where everything you did flowed smoothly, almost effortlessly.

That’s what it takes to play good if not GREAT golf!!   A relaxed, calm state of mind - a relaxed calm feeling throughout your body.

There are many different techniques that you can use to relax such as:

  • Progressive Muscular Relaxation
  • Eye De-Focusing
  • Deep Breathing
  • Count Down to Relaxation
  • Post-Hypnotic Triggers
  • Self-Hypnosis for Relaxation
  • Exercise yourself Relaxed
  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)
